I like to read on "my terms" meaning that I never want to feel like I am forced to read a certain book.
Instead of book clubs, which in the past have made me slog through boring and questionable content, I prefer literary clubs where everyone shares what they have been reading to the group.
I still like to be challenged to read across many genres and types of literature. So I have crafted reading challenges for myself each year. This can be as simple as setting a goal for books read in one year to focusing on certain genres or criteria to make it fun. Because ultimately reading should be an enjoyable way to spend your time.
Here is the reading challenge list that I use (I am always trying to add new ideas). Many prompts could be used to make a whole new sub reading challenge if desired. Use your imagination. Spread it over one year or several. Whatever you want to do to make reading fun!
